The SculptureBox Heads kit includes; a turntable, armature, modeling tools, calipers, clay, spray and detailed instruction bookelt.
The booklet contains clear instructions and easy to follow diagrams which guide you through every step of your sculpture project.
Using proven techniques you can build a lifelike model in correct proportion.
Clay Options:
Stone Buff Ware Clay
This is a smooth, grey ceramic clay, ideal for modeling. It should be used for pieces that are studies to be photographed or cast into another medium. Please note, this clay is likely to crack and break if allowed to dry out on the stand and this process is not designed to be fired.
New Clay
This is a terracotta clay with nylon fibers. It is aimed at those wanting to model a head and allow it to dry on the stand. This eliminates the need and cost of casting, if you decide you would like to keep the piece.
Please note, the armature will slid up off the stand and replacement armatures are available from SculptureBox so that the kit can be re-used.
